Jessica Ancker, associate professor in the Department of Population Health Sciences at Weill Cornell Medical College, presented an interactive workshop that helped science writers contextualize statistics for readers to help them make sense of numbers in the news and heighten the impact of data-driven stories.

This half-day program examined dilemmas facing both science and journalism as emerging areas of science and technology present tough questions of values and responsibility. Presented by CASW with support from the Kavli Foundation.
