Amber Dance is an award-winning freelance science journalist based in Southern California. In addition to organizing CASW’s New Horizons in Science briefings for the annual ScienceWriters conference, she is a contributor at Knowable Magazine, co-author of the “Health Divide” newsletter for the USC Annenberg Center for Health Journalism, and an instructor in science writing at UCLA Extension.

Community Manager, CASW Connector

Betsy Ladyzhets is CASW Connector’s community manager, keeping the Connector database up to date, working with readers to continually improve the website, and writing and producing the newsletter. Betsy is an independent science, health, and data journalist focused on COVID-19 and the future of public health.
